About Joanna Wise

I am a senior HR executive with over 25 years of experience leading people strategy and operations across media, tech, entertainment, sports, and financial services. I specialize in building high-performing, people-first organizations that align HR initiatives directly with business goals.

Most recently, as SVP of People at Whip Media, I revamped the HR function from the ground up. My career includes senior leadership roles at EPIX (MGM), Major League Baseball, and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. Whether scaling infrastructure, implementing modern systems (Workday, Paylocity, UKG, ADP, etc.), or leading through remote workforce shifts, I bring both the strategic roadmap and the hands-on execution needed to succeed.

With an MBA in Human Resources Management from Pace University, a Diploma in Executive Coaching from NYU, an SPHR certification from HRCI, and recent certifications in AI Tools for HR, I bring a unique blend of high-level academic rigor and 25+ years of "in-the-trenches" leadership. ​
